December 1, 2011 - Senior Digital Signal Processing Engineer

This challenging position offers an experienced engineer an opportunity to be involved in the design of a state-of-the-art technology with a tremendous market opportunity. The candidate main responsability will be to develop and maintain the DSP algorithm in Matlab as well as lead the R&D efforts to define technologies for future product development. This senior DSP engineer will assist the chip architect and the hardware implementation lead in defining the architecture and functionalities of the product as well as co-lead the testing efforts.

Required qualifications:
. A BASc, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
. At least 5+ years experience in the design, specification, integration and test of OFDM based algorithms with at least two IC completed successfully.
. An excellent understanding of OFDM based communication systems at the PHY and RF level
. High work ethics and absolute diligence in meeting, if not exceeding, the project requirements. . Written and spoken knowledge of English is a must.

General qualifications:
. A working knowledge of wireless communication protocol preferably cellular and mobile standards such as GSM, CDMA, etc.
. Must be familiar with radio frequency design requirements specifically the implications of different components and design tradeoff decisions on the performance of an OFDM modem.
. Should be comfortable working in a small startup environment with limited resources.
. A self-starter and be able to define his/her daily duties with little management oversight.

December 1, 2011 - IC Design Engineer (several positions available)

There are several positions available at both the intermediate and the senior levels. The IC design engineer will be responsible for translating high level system specifications to RTL and writing test benches to verify their code. The candidates will work closely with other team members to refine the product specification and test the functionalities of the final product. The candidate will also have to conduct lab verification of the finished product and provide support to customers if necessary. This position offers a great opportunity for career advancement for the right candidate who would like to apply his/her knowledge and ambitions to become part of a winning team.

Required qualifications:
. A BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
. At least 2+ years (intermediate) 5+ years (senior) experience in the design, specification, integration and testing of complex communication IC.
. An excellent knowledge of RTL (Verilog or VHDL) coding and be familiar with the implications of different design tradeoff on speed, gate count, power consumption, etc.
. Impecable work ethics and absolute diligence in meeting, if not exceeding, the project requirements.
. Written and spoken knowledge of English is a must.

General qualifications:
. Must have previous work experience implementing complex communication ICs in FPGA.
. Candidates should be familiar with commercial EDA design tools for both standard ASIC and FPGA.
. Should be comfortable working in a small startup environment.
